Man Pointed Gun At Redmond Schoolchildren: Police
The incident happened Wednesday afternoon near Redmond Elementary.

REDMOND, WA - A man pointed a gun at four Redmond elementary schoolers walking home from school on Wednesday afternoon, according to Redmond police. Their description of the suspect closely matches the description of an armed man who robbed a pet store in Redmond Wednesday evening.
According to police, the man pointed the gun at the children while riding by in a car along the 8400 block of 167th Avenue Northeast. There were three other men in the car, the children told police. The incident happened around 4:40 p.m.
The children said the car was a "beat-up, grey or black sedan with tinted windows." Two of the men in the car were white, two were black, the children told police.

Police said the students' description of the man with the gun was similar to the robbery suspect, but detectives are still investigating to see if the incidents are related.
Police are stepping up patrols and are asking anyone with information about either incident to call 911 or the non-emergency line at 425-556-2500.
