RENTON, WA — "The Office" star Rainn Wilson was in town this week for a charity concert at the Paramount Theater in Seattle, but he made time to stop in Renton to watch the Seahawks practice — and to ask his 4.39 million Twitter followers to come visit the city.

Wilson was at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center on Wednesday on the field during OTA practice. In a short video, he touted Renton.

"Make sure to visit Renton, Washington, and tip your waiters and waitresses," he said in a Twitter video.

Wilson played the iconic beet farmer Dwight Schrute on "The Office," and more recently has starred movies like "The Meg" and the TV show "Star Trek: Discovery."

But Wilson hasn't forgotten his local roots. He was born in Seattle, grew up in Shoreline, and graduated from the University of Washington. He also likes to help locals. Last May, he helped students at his alma mater, Shorecrest High School, with a project on spreading kindness.
