Renton Historical Society opens its new doors (rentonreporter.com) — Renton's Historical Society and Genealogy Center has officially opened its new downtown home on South 3rd Street, across from the renovating Renton History Museum. The building will soon consolidate thousands of local artifacts and offer genealogy services, research help, education programs, and a gift shop. City leaders joined residents at the ribbon cutting, celebrating a permanent space dedicated to preserving Renton's rich history.

WIAA: 2026-27 HS Sports Season's about to start, State Championship sites mostly set (elisportsnetwork.com) — From its Renton headquarters, the WIAA has released dates and locations for nearly every 2026‑27 Washington high school state championship, from football at Husky Stadium to volleyball in Yakima and track in Tacoma.
