Black Bear Spotted In Sammamish's Klahanie Neighborhood
The bear was seen near Yellow Lake on Tuesday afternoon, according to city officials.
SAMMAMISH, WA — Cancel plans for any picnics this week at Klahanie Park. And if you live in the Klahanie neighborhood, make sure to secure your garbage and take down any bird feeders.
A black bear was spotted roaming near Yellow Lake in the heart of the Klahanie neighborhood on Tuesday, according to Sammamish city officials. The bear sighting has been reported to state wildlife officials.
If you see the bear — or any bear — don't approach it. You can call 911 if you're in danger, or contact the King County non-emergency number at (206) 296-3311 to report the sighting.
