• Redmond light rail adds transit options for Sammamish residents (sammamishindependent.com) — Sammamish residents now have a faster, more reliable way to reach Bellevue and Seattle thanks to the Redmond light rail extension, though they still must drive or bus to Marymoor Village. Locals describe saving on gas, avoiding downtown parking, and rethinking daily routines, while also voicing frustration about the lingering "last mile" gap without a station in Sammamish itself. 
• Men's golf opens season in Washington Sept. 12-13 (thesundevils.com) — Sammamish's Sahalee Country Club will host top college golf programs Sept. 12–13, bringing Arizona State and other nationally ranked teams to town. The Sahalee Players Championship features 54 holes over two days and continues a recent run of strong performances and past titles for the Sun Devils on this challenging local course.
