Search Volunteers Rescue 5 In King County Over Memorial Day Weekend
The volunteer King County search and rescue team rescued five people from wilderness danger as of Sunday evening.

ISSAQUAH, WA - The King County Sheriff's volunteer search and rescue team was very busy over the holiday weekend, effecting five rescues of people trapped in the local wilderness as of Sunday afternoon. The latest rescue was on Sunday at Issaquah's Poo Poo Point, a popular site for hikers and a launch point for hang-gliders. The team helped a hiker with a possibly broken ankle.
On Saturday, the search and rescue team helped locate a 14-year-old boy who was lost along the Snoqualmie Valley Trail. On Saturday, the volunteers located a hiker at Rattlesnake Ledge with a broken leg. They also traveled to the Skykomish area to locate a lost hiker at Beckler Peak, which is off U.S. 2 inside the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.
The search and rescue team reported that everyone they rescued made it out of the woods OK.
