Avoid Labor Day Return Traffic With These WSDOT Charts
Check out these WSDOT timetables to figure out the best time to return to Puget Sound on Monday.

SEATTLE, WA - If you want to make your trip home a bit faster, the state Department of Transportation has released a set of handy graphs showing the best times to leave. The graphs detail a number of popular routes across the state, including I-5 from Tacoma to Olympia, I-5 to the Canadian border and I-90 from North Bend to Cle Elum. Most of the graphs show that it's best to leave in the early morning hours - before 9 a.m. - or the late evening hours - after 10 p.m.
Northbound from Tacoma to Olympia on I-5 looks particularly dicey, with heavy traffic anticipated from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.
On I-90, bridge deck repairs are likely to result in heavy traffic approaching Snoqualmie Pass due to lane switches. For eastbound I-90 Monday, the worst of the traffic is anticipated to be from noon until 8 p.m., while westbound appears to be less congested.
