• Tacoma man sentenced for death of his wife, a reality TV star, in police pursuit (thenewstribune.com) — A deadly 2025 police pursuit that ended at the Roy Y intersection in Spanaway has led to an 18-year prison sentence for the Tacoma driver whose wife was killed in the crash. Prosecutors said he was heavily intoxicated and speeding at 115 mph before losing control, injuring a passenger and himself and leaving his wife, a reality TV contestant, fatally hurt. The case revisits his prior gang-related conviction and the family's ongoing grief.
