They discussed concrete steps to strengthen Washington's energy grid, from permitting reforms to wildfire resilience, with an eye on keeping Spokane's power reliable and affordable.

Major piece of Spokane's freeway connection takes shape: what we know about the finish line of the North Spokane Corridor (krem.com) — Spokane drivers are finally seeing the North Spokane Corridor take shape, with 70% of the 10.5‑mile freeway complete and only 3.5 miles left. Key segments near Spokane Community College and the I‑90 connection are scheduled over the next few years, and WSDOT says the project is now fully funded through its planned 2030 completion.

Spokane City Council approves ordinance to increase budget for law enforcement training by $100K (krem.com) — Spokane residents should know the City Council just shifted $100,000 into basic law enforcement training to cover rising academy costs for new officers. The move ties into the planned Community Safety Campus and expanded Spokane Academy, with the city also accepting over $1 million in state funding for the academy's growth and other justice programs.
