• Information for SCC visitors (wa.gov) — If you're planning to visit someone at the Special Commitment Center in Steilacoom, you'll need to be pre-approved through a background check and mailed application that can take up to six weeks. The guidelines explain how family, friends, professionals, and media can arrange Zoom or in-person visits, handle emergencies, and deposit money into a resident's account using the Steilacoom mailing address.
