The first two face manslaughter and drug-distribution investigations, while the third is accused of supplying fentanyl to the home. All three are scheduled for arraignment on Thursday, Sept. 10. 
2. Shooting at Walla Walla transit hurts security guard, Sunday service canceled (yaktrinews.com) — Sunday bus service on Walla Walla Valley Transit was canceled after a Saturday night shooting at the downtown transfer center injured a private security guard, who has since been treated and released. Police are still investigating the incident, and officials have not yet shared details about a suspect or motive, so riders should watch for further updates on service and safety.
3. Prep football roundup: Bingham's big night powers defending state champion DeSales to season-opening win (thenewstribune.com) — DeSales opened its title-defense season with a dominant road win, while Walla Walla High School's Blue Devils mounted a strong second-half rally in a 31-20 loss at Mt. Spokane. Several other nearby teams, including College Place and Waitsburg, also kicked off their seasons, with many set to host home games on Sept. 11 and 12 that local fans can attend.
4.
