Stanfield man sentenced following high-speed pursuit (elkhornmediagroup.com) — A case tied to June's high-speed chase near Wallula Gap, which allegedly sparked the 8,262-acre Twin Sisters Fire, has led to a 30-day sentence in Walla Walla County Superior Court. A 22-year-old Stanfield man received mostly electronic home monitoring after pleading guilty to attempting to elude, while authorities may still consider additional charges related to the fire's massive impact. 
2. Walla Walla opens applications for snow berm reduction program (elkhornmediagroup.com) — Walla Walla residents with physical disabilities can now apply for the city's Snow Berm Reduction Program, which helps keep driveway entrances clearer during winter plowing.
