• Boy Scouts named in expanded lawsuit over fatal monument collapse at Rooks Park in Walla Walla (elkhornmediagroup.com) — A Walla Walla family has expanded its lawsuit over the 2019 Rooks Park monument collapse that killed their 3-year-old son, now naming Boy Scouts of America entities among several defendants. The case, filed in Walla Walla County Superior Court, seeks damages for alleged negligence, product liability, and emotional distress, with a hearing set for Oct. 27.
   

• Groover Snell hopes to uplift local history as Fort Walla Walla Museum's executive director (thenewstribune.com) — Fort Walla Walla Museum has a new executive director, longtime staffer and local resident Groover Snell, who wants more Walla Walla residents to reconnect with their history.
