Pierpont Community and Technical College breaks ground on new aviation maintenance facility (wboy.com) — A major aviation training expansion is coming right to Bridgeport, with Pierpont Community and Technical College breaking ground on a new maintenance facility at West Virginia AeroTech Park near the airport terminal. Funded with $25 million in state support, the building should be finished in about 14 to 16 months and will nearly double the aviation maintenance program's student capacity.

4. Children with autism struggling to access therapy; advocates call on WV leaders to address Medicaid (newsfromthestates.com) — A Bridgeport mother is speaking out as families across West Virginia face long waits for autism therapy because Medicaid pays behavioral therapists some of the lowest rates in the nation. Advocates say too few providers accept Medicaid, leaving children on years-long waitlists, and are urging state officials to raise reimbursement rates so more therapists can serve local kids.
