ā¢ Elkins enters agreement for City Hall redevelopment (theintermountain.com) ā Elkins City Council has hired law firm FBT Gibbons LLP to guide historic tax credits and financing for the long-awaited City Hall redevelopment, tied to a $4.1 million Mountain Valley Bank loan. Officials say potential tax credits could top $500,000 and go into the cityās general fund, while restoration work remains on schedule for an August 31 reopening and a July 23 council update.

ā¢ Woodchopping and Timber Heritage Museum named AFNHA Discovery Site (wvnews.com) ā From its Elkins-based headquarters, the Appalachian Forest National Heritage Area has named Webster Countyās Woodchopping and Timber Heritage Museum an official Discovery Site, adding another stop to the regionās forest-history trail. Elkins residents interested in logging heritage or National Park Passport stamps now have another nearby destination tied into AFNHAās network, alongside Darden Mill downtown. Ā Ā Ā
