• West Virginia man dies after motorcycle crash (heraldmailmedia.com) — A man from Paw Paw died after his motorcycle struck a guardrail Saturday night on the 900 block of Hedgesville Road north of Martinsburg. Berkeley County deputies say excessive speed likely caused the rider to lose control; the crash remains under investigation.

• Eagles use late runs to knock off Cougars (journal-news.net) — Hedgesville softball fans saw a big turnaround as the Eagles avenged a recent tournament loss to Jefferson with a 9-3 home win, sparked by six late-inning runs. Strong hitting from Mayla Ortega, Lexie Brown, and Autumn Allamong, plus a complete game from pitcher Chloe Frankhouser, powered the Eastern Panhandle Athletic Conference victory.
