City leaders warn that without it, paving and concrete projects would halt for years and the police force could shrink, possibly pulling school resource officers from Putnam County Schools.

Putnam County voters also returned two incumbents and elected one newcomer to the Board of Education, and chose a conservation district supervisor, shaping local leadership for the coming years.
