• Carol Miller soundly wins the Republican nomination for U.S. House of Reps in WV during 2026 primary (newsfromthestates.com) — South Charleston resident Vince George is in a still-uncalled Democratic primary that will decide who faces incumbent Republican Rep. Carol Miller in November for West Virginia’s 1st Congressional District. Miller easily defeated Larry Jackson in Tuesday’s GOP primary and heads into the general election with a large fundraising advantage, while Democratic votes continue to be tallied.
