GHS Athletics/Activities Director Reports Progress
Shane Hansen reported to the board the progress of the athletics/activities programming on Monday night.

Athletics and Activities director of Greendale High School reported the progress and his plans for 23 varsity athletic programs and the 19 club/activities.
Director Shane Hansen plans to individually meet with student-athletes from each of the 23 athletic programs before the season begins, midway through the season, and shortly after the season ends. By meeting with the teams Hansen hopes to bring different perspectives when evaluating the program.
With 964 enrolled students Hansen said 78 percent of students participate in athletic programs.

Hansen reported that 307 students participated in the fall athletics, 128 in winter athletics and 49 students were involved in Cheer or Pom teams.
Greendale High School currently offers two intramural sports programs, basketball and badminton.

The director made sure to point out that a number of the students participate in multiple sports.
Hansen also reported that 853 students are currently participating in club and activities.
Four clubs were not renewed for the 2010-11 school year due to lack of interest and combining similar clubs into one. The non-renewed clubs were ABC Club, DECA, Ready Club, and Service Club.
