GEA invests $25M to expand Wisconsin processing campus (petfoodindustry.com) — GEA is committing $25 million to expand its Janesville campus, adding a 70,000-square-foot facility for manufacturing, research, and training that's expected to be fully operational by early 2028. Backed by a city development agreement and performance-based jobs incentives, the project will grow the site to nearly 30 acres and support dozens of new high-tech positions.

Rock County Medical Examiner releases name of person who died in Janesville crash (wmtv15news.com) — A Janesville resident was killed in a Sept. 27 crash on Palmer Drive near Beloit Avenue, and Rock County officials have now released his name. Authorities say 39-year-old Sean P. Casey-Schmidt died at the scene from his injuries, and Janesville police continue to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
