AMERICAN IDIOT at Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts July 21-23

(Fond du Lac, Wisconsin) Ghostlight Theatre will present Green Day's AMERICAN IDIOT Friday and Saturday July 21-22 at 7:30p plus Saturday and Sunday July 22-23 at 2:00p at Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts, 51 Sheboygan St, Fond du Lac. Tickets are $22 and may be purchased at https://rb.gy/m3ap0.

The two-time Tony Award-winning hit musical Green Day’s AMERICAN IDIOT, based on the Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum album, boldly takes the American musical where it’s never gone before. This high-octane show includes every song from Green Day’s album, AMERICAN IDIOT, as well as several songs from its follow-up release, 21ST CENTURY BREAKDOWN. Due to strong adult themes and explicit language, Green Day’s AMERICAN IDIOT is rated R and recommended for audiences age 17 and up.

Johnny, Tunny and Will struggle to find meaning in a post-9/11 world. When the three disgruntled men flee the constraints of their hometown for the thrills of city life, their paths are quickly estranged when Tunny enters the armed forces; Will is called back home to attend to family responsibilities, and Johnny’s attention becomes divided by a love interest and a hazardous new friendship. An energy-fueled rock opera, AMERICAN IDIOT, features little dialogue and instead relies on the lyrics from Green Day’s groundbreaking album to tell the story.

Christian Fleming directs; Joe Gallo, Liam Ledford and Danny Slattery play Johnny, Tunny and Will. The cast also includes Lydia Rose Eiche Ross at St. Jimmy; Kendra Krouth as Heather; Betsy Katschke as Extraordinary Girl, and Eulalia Marie Carriveau as Whatsername. Ryan Bartley, Summer Feil, Jazz Leinweber, Alyson Nordstrom and Eugene Strei fill out the cast.
