Here are a few ways to volunteer and make a difference in our community.
Volunteer Milwaukee, a service of the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee features both one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities in our community. Here are a few ways to help this summer.
- Wisconsin State Outdoor Sports Tournament - Escort athletes, keep score and/or present awards at Special Olympics WI State Outdoor Sports Tournament Sat., August 5. Contact jblank@specialolympicswisconsin.org or 262-241-7786.
- Credit Recovery Tutor - Tutor high school students weekdays in english, algebra, biology, government or physical science this summer at Milwaukee Academy of Science. Complete application.
- Ambassadors - Welcome and assist patients and visitors at Aurora West Allis Medical Center; day, evening or weekend hours. Complete an online application.
- Vliet Street Gallery Night & Day - Set up or tear down, greet and guide guests at Gallery Night & Day July 21-22. Contact Near West Side Partners at outreach@nearwestpartners.org or call 4114-933-0640.
- Do You Love the Wisconsin State Fair?- Staff information booth, usher spectators at Pig Races and manage children's slide at Wisconsin State Fair August 3-13; 4 hour day and evening shifts. Contact keith.kalberer@wistatefair.com.
- 13th Annual Fulfilling the Dream Gala - Set up, register guests, assist with auction or sell jewelry at fundraiser for St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care Friday, August 4. Contact delmav@stanncenter.org or 414-977-5034.
