Marquette Dental Students Launch School Supply Drive to Support Milwaukee Public School Students
ASDA Chapter Dental Students Give Back to Milwaukee Public Schools
MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The American Student Dental Association (ASDA) chapter co-chair, Indira Stefano, second year dental student at the Marquette University School of Dentistry, has launched a community-wide school supply drive to benefit local students across the Milwaukee Public School system. Running from August 31 through Oct. 31, the initiative aims to help under-resourced classrooms have the essential learning tools needed for a successful academic year. Recognizing the crucial link between community support, equity, and education, Marquette dental students are rallying support to collect vital classroom materials—including notebooks, pencils, backpacks, and basic art supplies.
"As healthcare students training in Milwaukee, our commitment to the health and well-being of this city extends far beyond clinical care," said Indira Stefano, Marquette ASDA community service co-chair and second year dental student. "Underfunded schools face resource gaps, and no child should spend the school year without the basic tools to learn and thrive. We are asking our campus community and local neighbors to pitch in and support our local classrooms," said Stefano.

- Donate Online: Access the Amazon School Supply List to purchase items that will be shipped directly to the drive organizers for distribution.
- Drive Dates: August 31 – Oct. 31 (Collection period may be extended based on community response and incoming contributions).
All collected supplies will be donated directly to Milwaukee Public School classrooms in highest need.
