Milwaukee Bucks Player Will Not Face Charges After Tasing: Police
Sterling Brown was tased following an incident outside a Walgreens Friday. Police say they reviewed reports and footage.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Milwaukee Bucks player Sterling Brown will not face criminal charges after he was tased by Milwaukee police following an incident outside a Walgreens late last week.
Milwaukee police issued a statement late Monday, saying "After an internal review related to the arrest of Sterling Brown on Friday, January 26, the Milwaukee Police Department has determined the case will not be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office for charges. The DA's office has been notified."
According to Milwaukee police, officers were conducting a business check around 2:00 a.m. Friday at the Walgreens located at S. 26th Street and W. National Avenue when they encountered a vehicle parked across two disability parking spaces.

Police say they spoke with a 22-year-old man, later identified as Brown, and during the incident a taser was deployed on the him and he was arrested.
According to police, Brown was booked into the Milwaukee County Jail and later released on Friday morning.

Police in Milwaukee say the circumstances of the incident and the use of force were reviewed by the Department, leading to the department's refusal to recommend charges.
Milwaukee police said that command-level review of reports and body camera footage indicated that Brown's actions did not merit a criminal charge. Milwaukee police said that command is also reviewing the responding officer's actions including "supervisory oversight" related to the incident.
Police are reporting that once their internal investigation is complete, their findings and body camera footage will be released.
Brown is a 6-foot-6-inch guard from Southern Methodist University in his first year with the Bucks. He's averaging 3.5 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. He was notably the subject of a prank when teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo filled his SUV with popcorn.
