OA To Host Virtual Newcomers Workshop
Local Overeaters Anonymous group to hold virtual workshop on compulsive eating; Invites new and prospective members to attend
The Milwaukee Area Intergroup of Overeaters Anonymous (OA) – which serves members residing south to the state border and north to Green Bay and beyond – will hold a Virtual Newcomers Workshop on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 10 a.m. – 12 noon. Attendees will learn about the disease of compulsive eating and OA’s promise of recovery at the workshop which is open to all, including non-members, new members, and regular members.
As part of the workshop program, two speakers will share their experience, strength and hope regarding OA’s program that has helped countless members on their journeys to recovery. The forum will be especially helpful for individuals who want to learn more about OA, as they will have a chance to ask questions, engage in conversation, and identify local small group meetings. The October workshop is one of three newcomer workshops held annually to introduce new and prospective members to OA. As with all OA meetings, there are no fees to attend, and participant anonymity is assured.
