What was your favorite part of YA?
We got the opportunity to fundraise money for different organization. I also like that I would be able to start my CNA class this summer because of the program. I made new friends. I really enjoyed the various guest speakers we had in class. With all those activities I have done this year, I liked doing the OB shadows the best.

How has YA prepared you to be ready for a college or a career?
Being in this program gave me multiple options toward college and my career. It gave me strong leadership qualities and most important, I learned how to be responsible. In H.Y.A, you have to be very independent, our teacher is here but there’s only so much she could do and the rest is on your own. This program really gave me a clear view on my career.

What was your favorite part of YA?
I really enjoyed the ROPES course that my class took in the fall, because of the team work that we all had to work together, the positive reinforcement, and that we all got to know each other very well. As well as giving back to my community by either donating money, or just by helping out with the blood drive.

How has YA prepared you to be ready for a college or a career?
Health Youth Apprenticeship has prepared me to become ready for college or a career by helping me learn the medical field, the resources that I have to prepare me for a career in my life. The different people that I am able to meet to get me where I want to be able to go. As well as the friends and the grateful teachers and educators that educated us in the medical career and that helped me have a better understanding on the medical field.
