Future Dentist Cites Her Parents as Her Inspiration

Hannah Roszkowski says her mom showed her the importance of being a good leader and helping others.

Hannah Roszkowski would like to become a dentist. She knows that a dentist is in a position to help others, whether it’s relieving the pain of a dental emergency or giving them a beautiful smile. She also knows that a dentist needs to be a leader, able to take charge and be in control. And where did she learn the importance of helping others and being a good leader? From watching her mom, as she was involved as a leader in many PTA activities at Jefferson Lighthouse Elementary School. At that time, she began to develop her own leadership skills.

At McKinley Middle School, she was part of the documentary team. At Case High School, Hannah has been on the softball team, volleyball team, in the National Honor Society, Key Club, Positive Impact, and was a delegate to Badger Girls State. She has been a regular volunteer at a local hemodialysis center and also at a dental office, in addition to working as a nanny the past two summers.

Hannah received one of this year’s Allen Onnink Scholarships. She plans to enroll in the pre-dental program at UW-Parkside in the fall.
