What was your favorite part of YA?
In Youth Apprenticeship, I enjoyed attending the Ropes filed trip. On this trip, I learned how to work on a team and develop leadership skills. I am thankful the Health Youth Apprenticeship has given me a job at Shopko pharmacy. I enjoy my job and I always look forward to work.
How has YA prepared you to be ready for a college or a career?
The apprenticeship has exposed me to other parts of healthcare I would not have been interested in. I have numerous careers to consider and choose from. Knowing which degrees I want to take at an early age will save me time and money in the future. Maintaining a portfolio has helped me polish my organizational skills and gave me a chance to write a resume.
