Kiss FM DJ and St. Cat's Grad Team Up to Host Post Prom Red Carpet
Kraig Karson, one of the afternoon personalities from 103.7 Kiss FM, and Hannah Kultgen, a 2005 graduate of St. Catherine's, will provide commentary on the red carpet at Post Prom 2012.
Have you heard? This year's Post Prom red carpet hosts will be Kraig Karson from 103.7 Kiss FM and Hannah Kultgen, a graduate of St. Cat's. This is Karson's first time out, but Kultgen is returning for her second year as co-host.
Karson is not afraid to admit that he was not the first choice to co-host the red carpet for Post Prom 2012, but he said he is a little anxious about having to dress up. Wes McKane, one of the morning drive personalities, hosted with Kultgen last year and was asked back, but a scheduling conflict had him turning to Karson.
"Wes really wanted to do it so when he told me about how amazing this event is and how much fun he had, I had to say 'yes,'" he told Patch during a phone interview Thursday. "I've looked up the post prom Facebook page and it looks like so much fun."

We warned Karson that if he has fond memories of his prom, after Saturday, there is a good chance he could look back and feel a little cheated.
"From everything I hear, you might be right," he chuckled in agreement. "I'm afraid I'll be so busy looking around as a spectator that I'll forget to actually talk."

Kultgen is returning for a second go on the red carpet. She said she got the gig last year because Post Prom Chair Julie Craig ran into her mom and needed someone to fill in.
"I remember Post Prom from when I was a senior and how amazing it all was so of course I said, 'yes,'" she said. "When they invited me back, I was pretty thrilled."
Kultgen also works in radio but on the promotions side. She actually went to college for broadcast journalism so she's looking at her hosting duties as a great experience because she gets to use what she learned in school.
"That's really probably my favorite part, experiencing real-time commentary and broadcasting," she added.
As for the night's fashions, Karson said he might be a little out of his element.
"I mean, I still dress like a junior high student in t-shirts with cartoons on them," he stated.
But when we told him that he might want to get a little spiffy, he said he might be able to pull something together.
"I do have one tie," he added.
Kultgen, though, will be dressed for the occasion in a dress and heels. She's also getting her hair and nails done by Krystal Tomczak at KBL Salon in Mount Pleasant.
"Oh, I'll be dressed up," she confirmed. "I have the dress, the shoes and my appointment for hair and nails. I'll be ready."
