Racine Area Cheerleaders Tumble Their Way to Teamwork, Pick Up Ribbons at Camp

Cheerleaders from three Racine-area schools attended cheer camp last week to work on new routines, polish their tumbling and stabilize their stunts.

Cheer teams from and Racine Lutheran came together last week at cheer camp to jump, stunt and tumble their way to being better cheerleaders and stronger teams.

Along with a dozen other cheerleading squads from around the state, the Panthers, Rebels and Crusaders spent four days at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for a Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) camp. While they were there, teams learned new routines, got advice on cheers, tumbling and stunts from the experts from UCA.

On Saturday, all the teams came together for one last marathon day of performing with the hopes of nabbing some ribbons and trophies for their efforts. By the end of the day, each team had a collection of new ribbons to add to their school trophy cases.
