Walden Student is a Member of the Civil Air Patrol
Dylan Friss would love to work on the particle accelerator at Fermi Laboratory.

Dylan Friss considers academics to be his greatest strength. While his diploma will be from Walden III, he’s also taken International Baccalaureate classes at Case, and played on their soccer team, too.
Many of the extracurricular activities he’s been part of reflect his scholarly aspirations as well: the Academic Decathalon team, Model United Nations, forensics, and Walden’s Green School Initiative. Dylan also has a unique accomplishment—he has advanced through the cadet program and became an officer in the Civil Air Patrol. Through that program, he’s participated in search and rescue missions for missing persons and missing planes, and volunteered with the EAA in Oshkosh.
Dylan started his education at Jefferson Lighthouse and then went to Walden, where he has been involved with the Green School club, which focuses on environmental issues. He plans to attend UW–Platteville and major in engineering physics with a minor in nanotechnology, then pursue a master’s degree specializing in energy systems design. His dream job would be to work with the particle accelerator at the Fermi Laboratory.
