Crime Corner: Drunk Driving, Underage Drinking Cited in Muskego Last Week

Residents as young as 17 cited with underage drinking, and incidents of OWI reported from MPD.

Friday, July 22 – A mailbox in the W13300 block of Boxhorn Dr. was damaged

Saturday, July 23 – A traffic stop on Racine Ave. near Sunset Dr. resulted in a 23 year old Burlington man being arrested for drunk driving

  • A cellular 911 call reporting a possible intoxicated driver resulted in a 45 year old Genoa City man being arrested for drunk driving.
  • A mailbox in the S6600 block of Tans Dr. was damaged.
  • At approximately 7:40pm, several people were arrested for underage drinking at Moorland Skate Park.  These included two 18 year old Muskego men and one 19 year old Butler man, who were charged with underage drinking, and one 19 year old Pewaukee woman who received an alcohol assessment referral.  Two of the males also had outstanding warrants for their arrests.
  • A noise complaint in the W19000 block of Tans Dr. led to two 19 year old Muskego women being charged with underage drinking and four 19 year old Muskego men and one 17 year old Muskego girl receiving alcohol assessment referrals.

Monday, July 25  

  • The DNR pier at Idle Isle was vandalized with graffiti.
  • A Muskego man celebrating his high school graduation at Fountainwood Pool had his iPod stolen.
  • Adrenaline Power Sports on Challenger Dr. was the victim of a burglary during the overnight hours.

  • Two 18 year old Wind Lake men and two Muskego men, ages 18 and 17 were arrested for vandalizing at least 7 cars throughout the city with eggs.  This occurred during the late evening hours of the 25th.
  • Pinky Electric on Enterprise Dr. was the victim of the theft of wire.
  • A woman fell off her bike and sustained minor injuries when a vehicle failed to stop for a stop sign Crowbar Rd. and Kelsey Dr.  The plate given, SLOOPS, did not come back on file with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

Thursday, July 28  

  • A baseball stand and other baseball items were taken from a yard in the W17000 block of Ricco Ct.  A neighbor reported seeing a scrap dealer in the area at the time of the theft.
  • The mirror was stolen off a truck while the owner was in Cost Cutters on Racine Ave. and Janesville Rd.  The theft was witnessed, and the suspect is believed to be involved in similar thefts in the Milwaukee metro area.  Police are continuing to investigate.
