Cars Broken into on Emerald Meadows Dr.

Oak Creek police responded to a residence on the 10600 block of S. Emerald Meadows Drive on a report of a theft from vehicle call. According to the report, sometime between Sep. 28 and Sep. 29, two vehicles were broken into while parked in the driveway of a residence.

The following items were listed as stolen: A Kenwood/Pioneer amp valued at $200, and Android phone charger valued at $20 and $25 in cash. From the second vehicle, a Grey Infiniti 12in. subwoofer valued at $400, and other items valued between $20-50. It was not known who the suspects were at the time of the call.

Driver Rear-Ends Car Stopped for School Bus

Oak Creek police and rescue responded to a two-vehicle accident on the 2900 block of E. Puetz Road just after 4 p.m. on Sep. 29. According to the report, the driver of a vehicle rear-ended a vehicle that had correctly stopped for a school bus that was stopped and had its flashers activated on E. Puetz Road. According to the report, both vehicles sustained severe damage as a result of the crash. The driver of the vehicle who rear-ended the stopped vehicle was transported to Wheaton Franciscan in Franklin for neck pain, and issued a traffic citation.

Truck Driver Goes Missing

The driver of a National Logistics semi truck bound for San Jose, California is accused of stealing the truck and trailer - valued at approximately $75,000 and $50,000 respectively, after the driver of the vehicle failed to show up for a delivery on schedule and was flagged for purchasing gas at a location 65 miles in the opposite direction. The truck was entered into the record as stolen, after the company has failed to hear from the driver for two days.
