Charges, Arrest Warrant for Oak Creek Man Over a Matter of Five Dollars

An argument over five dollars could land a 20-year-old Oak Creek man in jail for nine months.

OAK CREEK -- An argument over five dollars could land a 20-year-old Oak Creek man in jail for nine months.

Samuel Kubiak has been charged with criminal damage to property after police officers were called to the 7200 block of South Shepard Ave. on Aug. 25 on a criminal damage to property complaint.

According to police, Kubiak reportedly punched a television screen inside the residence, causing the screen to break. The damage to the television was estimated at $400.

The witness who reported the incident to police stated that Kubiak was angry because she would not lend him five dollars.

According to court documents, Kubiak failed to appear for his intital appearance in court on Sep. 15, and a warrant for his arrest has been issued.
