Dog Rescued With Open Sores in Oak Creek Eviction Case

Oak Creek police responded to a property on the 6900 block of S. 27th St. on June 22 on a report of an animal mistreatment case.

OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek police responded to a property on the 6900 block of S. 27th St. on June 22 on a report of an animal mistreatment case.

According to police reports, the previous tenants of the rental property abandoned multiple domestic animals at the property when they were evicted.
According to police reports, the tenants left two dogs and three cats in the residence.

One officer observed that one of the dogs had multiple open sores on its body and MADACC determined the dog needed immediate medical treatment.

The other animals were turned over to the previous tenants, who arrived on scene as officers were awaiting the arrival of MADACC. The police ordered one of the tenants into the police department to receive a citation for animal mistreatment.
