Driver Hits Oakwood Road Dead-End; Flips Car in Crash

Oak Creek police were called to the dead end of E. Oakwood Road after the driver didn't notice the road ended.

OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek police were called to the dead end of E. Oakwood Road just after 12:30 a.m. on April 30 after a driver reportedly didn't notice that the road ended, hit the concrete barrier and had their vehicle flip onto its side.

According to police reports, the occupants of the vehicle were out of the car and were refusing rescue. However, the Oak Creek Fire Department was called to the scene as a precaution due to the some of the occupants being injured and having blood on them.

Police reports indicated that the driver was driving eastbound on Oakwood Road and did not realize the dead end came so quickly.

The driver stated that his car hit the concrete barrier, flipped over and came to a halt.

The driver was transported to Wheaton Franklin with injuries.

Minor damage was inflicted on the concrete barrier. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
