Drunk Driver Obliterates Oak Creek Mailboxes
A drunk driver was arrested after she destroyed several mailboxes - only to get charged for spitting in the squad car.
OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek police took a recalcitrant intoxicated driver into custody just before 4 p.m. on July 27, after the driver obliterated a series of mailboxes in the area of S. Chicago Road.
According to police reports, the female driver of a gray Dodge Intrepid was swerving as she drove north. A second person who called police stated the vehicle struck several mailboxes on Fifth Ave. and pulled into an alley near High St.
Another caller stated the same drier hit a mailbox just south of the 10500 block of S. Chicago Rd.

Police later located the vehicle and its driver near Fifth and Lakeside, where she was taken into custody. She was also cited for disorderly conduct after spitting in the squad car.
