Drunk Driver Who Crashed in Oak Creek Registered a 0.29

The Oak Creek Water Department and Fire Department were notified that the fire hydrant at that location had been "completely sheared off."

OAK CREEK, WI -- A drunk driver who was dangerously intoxicated was taken into custody after a report that the driver sheared off a fire hydrant along Howell Ave.
Oak Creek Police responded to the 7800 block of Howell Ave. just before 11 a.m. on Jan. 15 on a report of an accident.

According to the report, the female driver of a Jeep Liberty hit a fire hydrant just north of Drexel on Howell at the entrance to the Gabels.

The Oak Creek Water Department and Fire Department were notified that the fire hydrant at that location had been "completely sheared off."

When police attempted to administer field sobriety tests, the driver reportedly fell over. A subsequent blood alcohol test revealed that the driver registered a 0.29 BAC - which is considered a dangerous level of intoxication.
