Heroic Mom Breaks Down Door To Save Overdosing Son

Fearing for her son's safety, an Oak Creek mother broke into her bathroom to rescue her son, who was suffering an apparent overdose.

OAK CREEK, WI — Fearing for her son's safety, an Oak Creek mother at the Springbrook Circle Apartments, broke into her bathroom to rescue her son, who was laying on the floor, unresponsive and turning purple from apparent drug use.

Police and rescue responded to the scene and the son was transported to Wheaton Franklin for stabilization and medical evaluation.

The mother explained that her son had a history of drug use and that he was currently on probation.

Police located tinfoil on the bathroom counter, a metal cap used to cook drugs and a syringe full of blood on the floor.

Once the son was medically cleared at the hospital, he was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
