Knife Standoff in Oak Creek leads to Death Threat Days Later

A female resident called 911 to report that there was a death threat on her door and there was an unknown white substance on her door knob.

OAK CREEK, WI — An apparent standoff between an Oak Creek man and woman employing knives led to a death threat days later and police warning the man.

Oak Creek police responded to an apartment on the 8500 block of S. Chicago Road on a report of a disorderly conduct call just after midnight on Feb. 6.

According to Oak Creek police, a female resident called 911 to report that there was a death threat on her door and there was an unknown white substance on her door knob.

Stuck to the door handle was a torn-off piece of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel with the words, "it's time to bleed," written on the paper. The female resident stated to police that she had a run-in with a male suspect three days earlier on Feb. 3.

In that incident, according to police reports, the female drove the male suspect from her open door after the male reportedly threatened her with a folding knife.

The female obtained a kitchen knife in that incident and pushed the male - who was reportedly intoxicated - out from the open door of her residence.

Oak Creek police made contact with the man later on Feb. 6 advising him to cease making threats, noting that he had already been charged with disorderly conduct from a previous incident.
