Meijer Thieves Manage to Walk Off With 17 Bottles of Liquor

OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek police responded to the Meijer on Drexel Town Square on Feb. 9 on a report of a retail theft that was much greater than the usual retail theft case.

According to the police report, a loss prevention officer informed police that two retail theft suspects entered the store on Feb. 8 just after 12:30 p.m. and stole 17 bottles of liquor valued at nearly $700.

They accomplished this dubious feat by placing bottle after bottle inside duffel bags that were placed open inside the shopping carts.

According to the report, the first suspect was described as a tall black male wearing a green jacket, black pants and a black winter hat. The other suspect was described as also a black male, wearing a gray shirt with a black jacket, black pants and a gray winter hat.
