Milwaukee Corrections Officer Arrested After OWI Crash

13 drivers were arrested this weekend in Milwaukee County for suspicion of drunk driving. Find out who Sheriff's deputies took into custody.

MILWAUKEE, WI — A Department of Corrections captain from the Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility, Matthew Kriska, age 46, of Oak Creek, was taken into custody for DUI-1st offense after he crashed his vehicle on I-43 southbound at Oklahoma Avenue on Saturday at 3:20 a.m.

Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. ordered a continued an aggressive Driving Under the Influence (DUI) initiative to rid the Milwaukee County freeway system of drunken drivers.

This weekend’s Operation Drive Sober initiative, from Friday at 4:00 p.m. through Sunday at 6:00 a.m., resulted in the arrest of 13 drunken drivers. The average PBT result was .12.

Two repeat offenders were arrested for DUI-2nd offense: Hasnain Salemohamed, age 36, of Oak Creek; and Nathan Owley, age 39, of Milwaukee.

First-time offenders taken into custody were: Christian Horstman, age 26, of Greenfield; Katie Boucher, age 26,of St. Francis; Nathaniel Wimmer, age 24, of Waukesha; and Milwaukee residents: Manzana De Los Santos, age 23; Jesus Robles, age 18; Shelton Ward, age 35; Paul Jackson, age 25; Dwayne Brown, age 28; Rae Rivera, age 25; and Jermaine Jackson, age 36.
