Milwaukee Police Search for Shooting Suspect; Officers Thwart Separate Burglary Case
Milwaukee police are searching for a suspect in a Sept. 18 non-fatal shooting. Officers also managed to thwart a burglary attempt.

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are searching for a suspect in a Sept. 18 non-fatal shooting. Officers also managed to thwart a burglary attempt a few miles away on Milwaukee's north side.

Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that happened around 4:55 p.m. on September 18 in the 100 block of E. Brown Street.
A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was inside his vehicle when a male suspect fired a gunshot from his vehicle.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. MPD continues its search for the suspect and to seek a motive.
Police Thwart Burglary Attempt
A burglary was thwarted on the Northwest Side after Milwaukee Police officers found two suspects at a business that had just been broken into. District Four officers responded to the 4200 block of W. Silver Spring Drive around 1:45 a.m. on September 18 after a security guard said two people broke into the business.
When the officers arrived, they saw that a window of the building had been smashed. A 21-year-old Milwaukee woman was found inside the building and an 18-year-old Milwaukee man was located just outside the building and they were both taken into custody.
The female suspect has an arrest record dating back to 2008. MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
