Mother's Day Traffic Stop Turns into Drug Charges for Woman Driving 9-Year-old Child

A traffic stop for a burned out headlight led to drug charges for an Oak Creek woman driving her 9-year-old child on Mother's Day.

CALEDONIA, WI — A traffic stop for a burned out headlight led to drug charges for an Oak Creek woman driving a nine-year-old child through Racine County on Mother's Day.

According to her criminal complaint, on Sunday, May 14, Caledonia police officers made contact with Lynnze Kucko of Oak Creek, who had been operating her vehicle with a defective headlight in the area of Six Mile Road in Caledonia.

Upon making contact with Kucko, officers noted an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle, her complaint stated.

According to police, Kucko had her nine-year-old child seated in the front seat of the car and admitted to having a grinder and marijuana in the center console of the vehicle within reach of the nine-year-old child seated beside her.

When police searched her vehicle, they recovered a smoking pipe, a bag of marijuana weighing approximately 1.1 grams, and a grinder in the center console of the car.

Also located in the vehicle, according to police, were heroin paraphernalia straws, cotton balls and a burnt metal tin used for heating heroin to be injected, the criminal complaint stated.

When police tested the cotton balls, they came back positive for heroin, the complaint stated.

She has been charged with possession of THC, and two counts of posssession of drug paraphernalia.
