Oak Creek Boy Puts Mom In Headlock Over Cell Phone

OAK CREEK, WI — A son was arrested for disorderly conduct and domestic violence after he reportedly broke down the bathroom door where his mother was seeking shelter, put his mom in a headlock and took his cell phone back.

According to police reports, officers responded to the 900 block of E. Meadow terrace on June 17 on a report of a domestic violence incident.
When police arrived, they were learned that the son and mother had gotten into a verbal altercation regarding a cell phone.

Reports indicate the son was being disrespectful and the mother took the cell phone away. Police say the son became verbally abusive, scaring the mother, who then locked herself in the bathroom for her safety.

According to the reports, the son started punching the bathroom door, ultimately gaining entry into the bathroom, at which point he placed the mother in a headlock and forcibly took his cell phone back.

He was met by police in the house when the situation had calmed down and was taken to the Oak Creek police department for processing.
