Oak Creek Drunk Driver Stopped in Middle of Street, Arrested on Warrants

A man who ended up driving into a ditch ended up being arrested after police discovered the man had two open warrants out for his arrest.

OAK CREEK, WI — A man who ended up driving into a ditch ended up being arrested after police discovered the man had two open warrants out for his arrest.

According to the report, a 911 caller reported that there was a tan Buick that nearly drove into the ditch, and that it stopped in the middle of traffic and was blocking the entrance to the freeway ramp on W. Ryan Rd. at about the 1300 block of W. Ryan Road on May 12 just before 11 p.m.

According to reports, the man had glassy eyes and the strong odor of intoxsicants. The man failed standard field sobriety tests and tested to a .11 blood alcohol concentration via a preliminary breath test.

According to police, the man had a warrant through the Outagamie County Sheriff for a family matter and one with the Winnebago County Sheriff for operating a vehicle after revocation. He was unable to post bond and was transported to jail.
