Oak Creek Man Injured When 800 lbs. Of Beams Falls On Him

A worker suffered multiple lacerations and bone fractures after an 800 lb. bundle of beams fell on him.

OAK CREEK, WI — A worker suffered multiple lacerations and bone fractures after an 800 lb bundle of beams fell on him.

Oak Creek police responded to a warehouse operated by Grunau on the 1000 block of Anderson Ct. in Oak Creek on a report that a man needed medical attention after an 800 lb. bundle of beams fell on a worker's foot.

According to police reports, officers and rescue responded at just after 10 a.m. on May 30 and reported that the worker was standing on the bed of a truck watching an employee remove some long pieces of metal from a truck when the top bundle of beams fell onto the truck bed, and then onto the ground, causing them to ultimately fell on his foot.

According to the report, the man sustained several long and deep lacerations on his left foot, and several small fractures on his left foot and lower leg.
