Oak Creek Man Reportedly Robbed at Gunpoint

The report stated that the man told police the suspect held a black handgun to his hand and demanded money.

OAK CREEK -- An Oak Creek resident was reportedly robbed at gunpoint after he told police that a male suspect pulled a gun on him as he was getting home from work.

According to the police report, a resident on the 900 block of E. Mackinac Ave. had just returned home from closing his grocery store "Mi Pueblo" at 17th and Mitchell in Milwaukee, when an unknown suspect stole his wallet, cell phone and $1,000 in cash while he was in the garage of his home.

The report stated that the man told police the suspect held a black handgun to his hand and demanded money.

The suspect was described as a black male about five-feet-ten-inches tall with long black hair.

Police conducted a canvass of the area, where area residents advised they did not observe anything suspicious nor particularly notice the resident's garage door open.

At the time of the police call, the apparent victim had locked himself inside his home with his family and did not know the suspect's direction of travel after the incident took place on Jan. 3.
