Oak Creek Police Arrest Wrong-Way Driver Trying to Enter I-94

Police managed to stop the driver while her vehicle was still on the off-ramp prior to entering the interstate.

OAK CREEK, WI -- Oak Creek police took a female motorist into custody on suspicion of OWI early in the morning on Dec. 22 after the driver attempted to access I-94 via the off-ramp at Rawson Ave.

According to the police report, the officer managed to stop the driver while her vehicle was still on the off-ramp prior to entering the interstate.

The officer ran field sobriety tests on the driver, and recorded that she failed those tests. According to reports, the driver recorded a .15 BAC via an intoxemeter test - nearly double the legal limit for Wisconsin.

The driver was cited for driving the wrong way on a divided highway and OWI-1st. Her vehicle was towed from the scene, and she was found to have an open arrest warrant through the Summit police department.
