Oak Creek Police Bust Phony Roofers Involved in Apparent Burglary Scheme

Two people were arrested for attempted burglary after it was reported that they were involved in a scheme to gain access to people's homes.

OAK CREEK, WI - Two people were arrested for attempted burglary after it was reported that they were involved in a scheme to gain access to people's homes, posing as members of a phony roofing company.

According to Oak Creek police reports, a suspicious subject came to the front door of a homeowner on the 3700 block of E. Fitzsimmons Rd. on Dec. 14, stating they were at her location to put singles on her roof.

The report stated that the resident did not call either of the suspects to have any roofing done, and that they were persistent about wanting to to come into her house, before ultimately agreeing to leave a business card in her mailbox.

The suspicious subjects were also reported at a residence on the 3500 block of E. Fitzsimmons Rd. In that incident, the two men spoke with a homeowner before leaving in a blue GMC pickup truck.

The same to people were also reported making contact with a homeowner on the 9200 block of S. Annette Pl. In that incident, the same suspects were reportedly attempting to gain access to that house in an attempt to sell a roofing job.
